Bringing Morocco to suburban Illinois
So my moms coming to visit in a week and I need something for her to sleep on. We had an air mattress but it was TERRIBLE, I could not sleep knowing she would not be sleeping on that deflated plastic POS. Thus I'm in search of a daybed/study couch for our office. And of course, my instinct is to decorate it with Moroccan comforts. Think lantern, beautiful pillows, and side table next to the nomad carpet I purchased in Fez last year. Some inspiring images...

While I would love a nice low to the ground carved wooden bed say like the bizzilion dollar one at anthropologie, craigslist is my fall back. Just spotted this one for $95.

Susan Rothenberg is the shit
A few images inspired by my mom's recent trip to Sante Fe where she saw the fantastic works of Susan Rothenberg - contemporary artist and graduate of my alma mater. My mom and I are thinking of recreating one of these on a gigantic piece of plywood I have. I love the horses, and what are those, mannequin parts? Très intéressant.
